I love lists of things. I decided it would be fun to do lists. All the time. Top ten lists would be great, but I think I'll go with lists of 5 to 10. Not as catchy, but I don't want to have to pad a list to get to ten.
So I'm sad Helen Reddy passed away. She did great stuff. I saw her once at a state fair. She's not really a state fair kind of artist. She seems best indoors. Anyway, she would be awesome anywhere. And shockingly, Mac Davis died the same way. I didn't care for him really, but he was big. They both had their own tv shows, and a ton of hits.
And by the way, its been even more shocking with baseball players. In what seems like just the last month - Joe Morgan, Lou Brock, Whitey Ford, Bob Gibson, Tom Seaver. Whitey was an earlier age, but the others were the stars of the 70's. They were probably four of the top ten of players of that era. So sad.
So I was listening to Helen Reddy songs. These are my faves. By the way, unranked lists are not okay. Number 1 is considered higher than number 2. Here we go.
7. Somewhere in the Night
6. Candle on the Water - From the underrated movie Pete's Dragon.
5. Tulsa Turnaround - A cut off an album. It's fun and she does a great job on it.
4. I Am Woman - I feel a little awkward liking this song. Same with "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman".
3. Peaceful - A nice name for the song in its music and lyrics.
2. Delta Dawn
1. Ruby Red Dress
