What is the deal with the thumb's pulse? I've always heard that when you take your pulse, don't use your thumb because it has its own pulse. Where does the thumb get off having its own pulse? How
is that even possible? There is only one heart and my understanding is that all those blood vessels are connected. Exactly what is going on? Who's to say that the thumb isn't right and the others are wrong. I guess its a democracy and the thumbs get outvoted 8-2.
Tomorrow I hope to see Ringo. On stuff like this, I take nothing for granted. So many things to go wrong - car breaks down, I get sick, Ringo gets sick, alien attack of Reno, etc. Hopefully it all works out.
This is Beatle number two for me. I know I'm not going to get #3 or #4, so I need to make the most of this. I remember when I saw Paul about 3 years ago. Sometime you're listening to songs at a concert and you forget where you are. Its like your just listening to the radio. Then you come to and think, "Hey I'm watching Paul McCartney sing Yesterday or Hey Jude, or whatever." It's like you just forget where you are.
I know Ringo isn't Paul. There was a reason he wasn't chosen to sing the lead on Let It Be. He would get about one song per album. Usually something that the Muppets might sing - Octopus' Garden, Yellow Submarine. But I think Ringo was fine with his role. He is the one it seems would have been the one most fun to hang out with. George was so into his religion, John into Yoko, and Paul into music. Ringo is like, "Hey, lets go to a movie." Maybe I'll ask him tomorrow.
