Here is my dream job - To be a writer for David Letterman with my job being nothing but writing top ten lists. I think I would be great at that. I don't know if they still do this, but on the Late Show website they used to pick a Top 10 category and invite people to submit items that might make the list. One was "Worst Names for Cartoon Characters". You know how a lot of cartoon characters are animals - Mickey Mouse, Yogi Bear, etc. What would make for a bad cartoon? I imagined a cartoon featuring a terrorist. So, I submitted the character, "Osama Bin Llama". Hilarious, right? I think its maybe the funniest single thought I've ever had. I submitted it, but it didn't get accepted.
They had another Top 10 contest for "Worst Summer Movie Titles". Remember the movie "Finding Nemo"? I submitted the title, "Jaws Finds Nemo". Again, hilarious. It was rejected. Dave, I clearly have a knack for this. Give me a call.
