Trivia

I like trivia. I got a book recently of trivia and I thought I would right down my favorites from that book. Here is what I think are some of the most interesting.

1. The British pound is the world's oldest currency still in use.

2. Saddam Hussein had pamphlet published that had the title "Three Whom God Should not have Created: Persians, Jews, and Flies".

3. If you really don't care about something, "you couldn't care less", not "you could care less".

4. Most countries have an official language, and several have more than one. The US, Argentina, Chile, Bosnia, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan are among the few that don't. 

5. A study revealed that American households earning less than $13,000 a year spend 9% of their income on lottery tickets.

6. Nevada hold the top spot as the US state with the most casinos. Oklahoma is number two.

7. The first American-made calculator sold for $240 pocket calculators.

8. Microsoft founder Bill Gates scored 1590 out of 1600 on the SAT.

9. "Forty" is the only number that's spelled in alphabetical order in English.

10. Ancient Rome was the first city in the world to reach a population of one million
