I'm counting down my personal list of best games I've seen in person.
#8 - University of Oregon vs Houston Cougars. Oregon won by quite a bit. The best part, though, was the mascot fight. That's right, mascot fight. And I had the best seats I've every had. We were like ten rows up and it happened right in front of us. I'm quite sure it was all for show, but it was awesome anyway. It even made the national news. I just googled it on line and there was an article on best mascot fights of all-time. I wouldn't have thought there was a list like that, but there was. And Duck vs Cougar was number 1.After an Oregon score, the Duck always goes out to the field and does a push up for each point we then have. Its his thing. Then Houston happens to score and the Cougar goes out, on Oregon's home field, and does seven push ups. The gall. It was on. By the way, the Duck won the game and the mascot fight.
#7 - Portland vs Cleveland. I was in Portland for a conference and I thought, "I wonder if the Trailblazers have a game tonight." They were and it was with the Cavs when they were at their peak. They had Lebron James and Dwayne Wade. I think they both had 32 points as I recall and, in that game at least, I thought Wade had the more impressive game. He was making shots from all over. It wasn't a great game, but it was fun to see a couple of great players.
