Top Ten Television Shows of All-Time

I was bored, I guess. I thought, let's google something. I thought, how about TV? Up came "The Top 10 TV Shows of all Time, According to Experts"

It turns out that five of the ten on the list, I've never seen. Not a minute. I can hardly be considered an expert then. That will not stop me from weighing in, though.

10. All in the Family. OK, pretty good choice. A little too preachy though. Since he passed away I've been watching reruns of Billy Graham sermons on TV. He can be preachy. Otherwise, I don't want to be preached at by my TV. Yes, fine, racism is wrong. I get that. I don't need a sitcom to hammer me with that. There was a lot of that back then. If Hollywood has some of the most immoral people, why are they telling my what to do? Yes. Ironically, I'm being preachy. Moving on. By the way, All in the Family is a good choice.

9. Deadwood. Something about the West. That's all I know.

8. I Love Lucy. Nice to see them go retro with this pick. It doesn't seem that hot now, but in its time it was. Desi played kind of a dunce, but in real life they say he was the real brains of Desilu Studios (Get it Desilu = Desi + Lucy. You do? OK. I didn't get that for a long time.) I was in the Lucy museum in her hometown, Jamestown, NY. It was fun. They had a lot of the old props and recreation of their living room, etc. Not worth flying across the country for, but if you're in the area...

7. Seinfeld. Good choice. I've seen every episode. There are some episodes that weave different plot lines together that somehow all get resolved in the final minute. It was magical.

6. Mad Men. Something about business.

5. Breaking Bad. Something about... OK, I have no idea what it was even about.

4. Cheers. I watched a bunch of episodes. It was pretty funny. Most of the characters I didn't really care for, and it wasn't really hilarious, I thought. Belongs in the top fifty, but that's about it.

3. The Wire. No idea.

2. Sopranos. Something about gangsters.

1. The Simpsons. Amen to that. Almost everything that happens in life can be covered by a line in The Simpsons or a line by Brian Reagan.

I think maybe I every once in a while I should randomly google a top 10 list of something and then explain why they are wrong.
