LeBron vs Iguadala

First of all, I'm listening to the Grateful Dead on Spotify. I hadn't listened to them before and I wondered what the attraction was. Maybe I could become an official Deadhead. Alas, I'm not seeing it. I'm going to make it through this album I'm listening to and that will be enough for me. A lot of their fans smoke the marijuana. Maybe that's their secret.

The NBA season is over. Golden State won. There is no debating that. But we can debate the MVP award. Andre Iguadala won. How could that be? It doesn't have to, usually they give it to someone on the winning team. You would think someone on the winning team would be worthy anyway, so it isn't usually a big deal. I usually don't even care, although I care a little bit this time. I like statistics, so I've compiled some for you. Your welcome.

Reasons James was a lot better than better than Iguadala.

1. Points average: James averaged 35.8 and Iggy 16.3 points per game.

2. Individual games: In game #4, Iguadala outscored James 22 to 20. Otherwise it was James - 44-15, 39-7, 40-15, 40-14, 32-25.

3. Bogus points: The points Iggy did get were usually pretty cheap ones because of a breakdowns on the Cav's defense when they were trying to stop their outside shooting. Meanwhile James was getting quadruple teamed.

4. Rebounds: James 80, Iguadala 35.

5. Assists: James 215, Iguadala 98.

6. James did all that in spite of being tired. He had to play a lot of minutes due to Cav injuries. You could tell in the last couple games he was tired. He missed a lot of free throws in the last game and most of his shots that missed were coming up short. A sign of fatigue.

7. Speaking of free throws, Iguadala made 10 out of 28. That is terrible. Have I mentioned I once made 25 straight free throws in my driveway? Have some of that, Iggy.

8. Bogus starting: A lot was made of the fact that they were 3 and 0 when Iggy started and 1 and 2 when he didn't. So what? In those games he didn't start he still played a lot of minutes - more that some of those that did start.

9. Defensive ability: They keep saying he played great defense. His guy scored 36 points a game.

10. I don't have anymore, but I feel like I should have an even 10. The best I can come up with is Iguadala is a funny name. It's not MVP material.

I sound like I'm ranting. It really doesn't bother me that much. Iggy seems like a good guy. He just shouldn't get the MVP award.
