I saw my boy in concert again. I don't know how, but I got tickets for about $30 each. His back was to me, but I was pretty close to him. There were a few surprises this time. I didn't know it ahead of time, but this tour was the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Tour", being that album's 40th anniversary. So he did Grey Seal and All the Young Girls Love Alice from the album. He also did The One which is a very under-appreciated song of his. He did a different opening song this time. (Note: This is concert #7 for me and EJ.) Also, he introduced his writing partner, Bernie Taupin who was in the audience. Bernie of course is the Brown Dirt Cowboy to Elton's Captain Fantastic. The concert lasted three hours, but the time just flew. Fun, fun, fun.
I got some major good clicks, although mostly of his back. Even better was the video I took. I don't know how to attach the video, so I'll just go for some of the pictures. I've taken video of him before, but previously it was by accident because I didn't know how to use the camera. So it was some of Elton, some of my shoes, etc. This time I was filming and aware of it at the same time. That turns out to be a good combination.
