New Year

New Year's Eve wasn't all that exciting. Yahtzee games which were to culminate with a church service right at midnight. The consensus of the group was to move things up about three hours and just pretend its midnight. After that it was a Mary Tyler Moore marathon until midnight. Yes, 2012 went out like a lamb.

But 2013 is going to be great. I've had, what I would consider, two bad years. One was in college. I was second man on the cross country team as a sophomore, but got injured after running a marathon. I don't think marathons set well with me. Anyway, that injury took about a year to get healed and I never was as good after that. The second half of 2011 and the first half of 2012 was also a terrible year. Things are totally better now. Of those that run things here, no one is disingenuous. There ae no tricks. Everything is above board. It's all very refreshing.

Anyway 2013 is going to be a great year. I will it to be so.

Hi Mr. Libby! It's still difficult for me to call you 'Jim' out of respect and all, but I shall try! Okay, here goes - Hi Jim! AWKWARD! Anyway, it sounds like out New Year's Eve for you and your friends was much like ours! Midnight? Are you serious? I am so glad that 2012 is gone for you! Seriously, my thoughts and prayers have remained with you and Donna for the longest time. Anyway, all of us still miss you at Bonanza - oh, and are we all having a fun and joyful fun year (please make special note of my sarcasm there =))! I understand that this is your blog and I completely respect that, however, I did email Donna back and have not heard anything in return. Please give her a hug for me - and yourself one, too! I am wishing you the happiest of New Year's to you and your loved ones! May God continue to bless and guide you! =)

*Not 'out,' rather 'our.' (Facepalm).

Kim, great to here from you. I'm sure Donna will write to you soon. Her inbox has like 1,000 e-mails in it. Seriously. I think about my friends at Bonanza a lot, even though I'm a million miles away. It's a lot better winters here. They can get snow, but we haven't had any yet. Its supposed to really warm up and get close to 60 this weekend. It also gets dark here at 6:00 which is later than I'm used to in Oregon. Anyway, take it easy. We're both going to have a great 2013!
