Here's a fun picture. This is the original home of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Col. Sanders owned the Sanders Cafe and started his chicken business from here. Being something of a fast food connoisseur myself, this is super cool. (Note - according to my spell checker this word is apparently not spelled "conniser".) Anyway, its not something you could spend all day at, but it was fun to drop by and have lunch there. Inside, half of it is a modern place and the other half is kind of a museum showing his orignial kitchen, etc. He had an advertising sign which said, "Overpriced, but still pretty tasty." You've got to love a guy like that. There has to be a first ever Burger King, McDonald's, etc. That would be a great quest. It's like the search for the Holy McGrail.
OK, I just went to Ask.com to see where they are. The original McDonalds was in San Bernardino, CA and the first Burger King in Jacksonville, Florida. Interesting, but far enough away to make me think that long of a trip wouldn't be worth it. But, if you're ever in Corbin, KY; check it out.
