Book store

I went to Borders on Saturday. When I heard it would go out of business, I decided that later I would stock up and buy like $100 worth of books. With their discounts, I ended up getting 9 books for $103. I'm not the fastest reader in the world so this will last me quite a while. It was fun doing that, but it was sad at the same time because it was like going to a funeral. It bothered me that a lot of the people in the store didn't give me the impression of being big readers. I don't know if they keep records on this kind of thing, but there were a couple of teenage boys that might have broken the record for use of the word "dude".

I found a great website - "ask.com" You just type in pretty much any question and it give you an answer. Its fun to try to come up with things to stump it. What was Columbus' favorite breakfast soft drink?, etc. Last week I mentioned I went to a Braves game where they only scored one run on 13 hits. How bad is that? It turns out if they hadn't scored any runs, they would have tied the major league record for most hits without a run. As I recall the run they did get was weak. I think the run scored while the batter grounded into a double play. My boy, Dan Uggla has a 29 game hitting streak. He's starting to get mentioned on Sportscenter. He's doing all that while batting .215. I think I could bat .215. If you just close your eyes and swing you would make enough contact to be like a .200 hitter. But that's OK, Dan. Don't let your batting average get you down. You've got enough problems dealing with the unfortunate name.
