Oscars

I feel obligated to comment on the Oscar nominations. Don't place money on my predictions as I don't see a lot of movies and the ones I "see", I typically sleep through about have of it.

Top Movie - I've only seen two of the nominees. Little Women and 1917. I'm so proud of myself for my viewing of Little Women. I stayed awake during all of it. And let's face it - not a lot of action in it. And I pretty much understood all of it. I typically don't fully understand movies I watch. This is undoubtedly due, in part, to my sleeping through them. But check this out - Little Women keeps flashing back and forth in time. Those always lose me. But not this time.

Winner: Little Women

Top Actor - I don't like/know any of these people.

Winner:  No one cares

Top Actress - Ones I like: One of the women in Little Women (has an unpronounceable and nearly unspellable name), Renee Zellwegger who was Judy Garland. I liked that movie. Scarlett Johansson. I believe I've mentioned countless times that I saw Scarlett in person when I saw a Late Night with David Letterman taping. Thus:

Winner:  Scarlett

Supporting Actor:  By process of elimination, Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci all really scare me. All the list is missing is the even creepier, Nicolas Cage.

Winner:  Tom Hanks

Supporting Actress: Scarlett is on this list, too. That's all we need to know.

Winner:  Scarlett.
