So here is my plan on what baseball should do. No more owners. Let the city own the team. Cities already own lots of things. And any profits goes to the city for welfare programs, or its given to charities, or something like that. Anything would be better than putting the profits in the hands of the already filthy rich owners. I think that's the reason players are so greedy. They know if they don't get paid a lot, that money will just go to the owner.
So the players probably won't be so greedy. Probably. Just in case they are we could put in some kind of salary cap. People that make five million a year hold out for more money. Really? Maybe a top salary for anyone is two million a year. Is that not enough? I think it should be. How much money is enough. That probably is good for another blog. For now, let's go with two million. I just Googled and there are seven players that make at least $30 a year. That's per year. I know some are worried that they'll be stupid with money so they need as much money as possible so they can't outspend their stupidity. So half your salary gets put into a trust fund or something and doled out to you in chunks over your lifetime.
Great plan, right? It is. It won't happen, of course, but great plan.
