Top Disney Movies

I watched the second Spongebob Squarepants movie again (3rd time). Its just hilarious. And I watched Paddington II for the second time. Call me a child, but I love animated movies. That made me think about Disney movies. I decided to look on line and see what people thought were the best ones. There were some agreements, but certain movies were at the top of some lists and near the bottom of others. They also had some considered worst.

Lets start with worst:

Chicken Little - The character was adorable, but it doesn't really make for much of a movie.
Fox and the Hound - Agreed. Disney had a bad run up to Little Mermaid. Maybe from the sixties through the early seventies. The Aristocat years. They had some other worth nominees for worst Disney movies: Bolt, Oliver and Company, Kronk's New Groove. Yes, yes, and yes.

If I could add a few more - Treasure Planet (never saw it, but the star is a teenage boy with an earring and skateboard. I hope you never heard about that, Walt.) I also don't care for ones I'm not sure how to pronounce - I'm looking at you, Lilo and Stitch, Moana and Ratatouille.

There were ones that seemed to make all the lists - The early classics, such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, Snow White. Hard to argue with those. And then good ones that are a little more recent - The Toy Story series, Finding Nemo/Dory, Up.

Some others near the tops of certain lists are just inexplicable: Coco!, Rescuers Down Under!! and The Brave Little Toaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And what's up with Dumbo? Why do people like it? Dumbo is ripped away from his mother, a bunch of animals get drunk, and isn't Dumbo the movie with a bunch of racist crows? Come on.

My own list? Here's my top three. I'm about the only person it seems that really liked Hunchback of Notre Dame. And it seems like Lion King should be there. And I have to go with Winnie the Pooh in my top three.
