Little Rock has the Clinton Presidential Museum. I wasn't that into it. I usually love those things, but not this one. It had a life-size replica of the Oval Office, but they pretty much all have that. It was big, with a lot of displays. A little to glitzy, I thought, although the same might be said of Bill himself. Kind of overwhelming, really. I had read that the museum gave a pretty slanted view of the Clinton years. That seemed to be true. At least Nixon's museum has a section on Watergate. Clinton didn't seem to have anything dealing with Monica. I guess tying in to the bridge to the 21st century theme, there was a walking bridge that crossed the Arkansas River right next to the museum. That was cool. On a different day, the whole thing might have been more interesting to me. Also, Bill wasn't there, if you know what I'm saying, so I couldn't add to my list of Presidential grave sites.
They did have a cool gift shop. I got a pen and something else and then the lady there gave me an authentic campaign button for free. How cool. If I do say so myself, I have an awesome collection of presidential campaign buttons, so that was great.
I got a good picture of the capital as we drove past it. (Not good driving procedure. Generally speaking, don't do that. It was a sweet shot though.)
In Oklahoma City, I looked around for the capitol building, but didn't see it. I also thought I might see where the NBA Thunder play. No. I'm thinking Oklahoma doesn't have a lot of visitor attractions. You might want to put up lots of signs for any you do have.
I did go to the Oklahoma City bombing site. I wasn't have high on my list of things to see, but it surprised me. Pictures I had seen of the memorial really don't do it justice. They did a nice job with it. It is very impressive.
