Louisville Cardinals!!!!!

My little Cardinals are national champs. I feel like I did my part by staying up till midnight to watch the game. I'm tired because I stayed up the following night to watch the Louisville women were play for their championship. (They lost.) In Oregon I haven't lost sleep during this time of year because 1.) In our time zone, the games start earlier and 2.) Oregon schools never get close to being in the championship game. So Univ of Kentucky won last year, and Louisville this year. On ESPN they had a poll for next year out and it had Louisville #1 and Kentucky #2, so its looking good for next year, too. Kentucky had an off year, but apparently has great recruits coming in.

I'm used to living in a state where preseason goals are to win more games that you lose. In a good year you might hope to get to the national tournament, but to think about winning the whole thing isn't even considered. It's a different story here. The Kentucky schools have big dreams every year and schools like Indiana, Duke, and North Carolina aren't that far away from us. I'm in the middle of basketball fever.
