Kentucky Senators

    

 

Kentucky has a couple of well known senators - Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul. Mitch is the leading Republican in the Senate. Rand looks like he is running President next time. He won some kind of presidential poll a couple weeks ago. Its dumb that they're talking about the next election already, but it is cool that KY has the front runner. If Kentucky can't win the NCAA tournament, we'll settle for the presidency.

 

But even more cool would have been Senator Ashley Judd. Up until a couple days ago, she was thinking about running against Mitch. It would have been fun if she had. She's from Kentucky, originally not too far from here. About 50 miles east of us is what they call the Country Music Highway. A bunch of country artists were born along that route - Loretta Lynn, The Judds, Ricky Skaggs, Patty Loveless, etc.
