Leaves

Leaves are starting to turn colors here. I'm not used to that. Most the leaves I'm used to seeing are green all the time. Its a pretty good display now. I don't think it's anything like they have in the Northeast, but sill interesting to watch. This picture is taken in Hazzard, Hazzard County, Kentucky. I don't think that is the location of the Dukes of Hazzard, but who knows? I drove by the police station there, but that Boss Hogg guy is probably retired by now. Being October, its also time for any baseball teams I'm rooting for to be eliminated from any chance at the World Series. The Reds had a two game to zero advantage. An announcer said no team has ever had  a 2-0 lead in a divisional series and lost. That is until this year. Thank you Cincinnati. Now that the Reds are done, I guess that is just one less thing that I have to be concerned about. So again, thank you. When I lived closer to Seattle and rooted for them, that was taken care of much sooner. They were usually mathematically eliminated sometime in July. So I had a good run.

The vice-presidential debates were about an hour or two away in Danville, KY. I wasn't there, but it was fun to know it was relatively nearby. I'm still on the lookout for an Obama button. Virginia and Ohio are both still in the running, so if I really wanted to, I could go there to get all I want. My button collection is about 3,000 miles away know, but its my pride and joy. I've got multiple Nixons, Carters, Clintons, etc ... JFK and before is where it gets sparse. That's mostly because their not common and expensive. I do have a Taft, Roosevelt, Ike, and Truman. I've got the losers, too. Humphry, Dewey, Gore, etc. If I get desperate for money at some point, I could probably sell them and make quite a bit.
