I saw the Portland Trailblazers play the Dallas Mavericks. Not good seats. At the end of the court, about a mile up. I'm fine with that. Tickets were about $20 and the view is plenty good as far as I'm concerned. Damien and CJ, their two best players, had pretty typical games for them. CJ is my favorite player as he has no tattoos. For some reason NBA players and people working at Taco Bell all have tattoos.
I would think that lost its popularity by now, but I guess not. If you have an important life event or just want to make a statement, write a blog, post it on Facebook, hire a skywriter... It seems like there are a lot better ways of doing it, but whatever.
Portland was behind early, but not by a lot. They caught up by halftime and had as much as a 14 point lead. They squandered to the point that they had a three point lead with six-tenths of a second to go. Dallas tied it on a miracle shot from the corner. We go into overtime and Portland wins it. They also score 100 point which means free McNuggets at McDonalds the next day. So a great evening overall. The slight tenseness just added to the fun of the win.
Trailblazers, like the Tennessee Titans, is a good team to follow. They win more than they lose, but not enough that you have to get all worried about losses because they aren't good enough to win a championship. If you root for a contending team, the losses are crushing and the wins are just a relief that it wasn't a loss. Its not that fun of an existence. So, go Blazers.
