I wasn't going to do a part two on this topic. However, I was skimming through Time magazine last night and they were talking about the President. Again, not to pile on, but a couple more examples of how he should have paid more attention in history class.
1. He thought Andrew Jackson could have stopped the Civil War. However, Jackson wasn't President
during the Civil War. He was dead well before it even started. When he said I thought maybe he meant that if Jackson were transported in time and was president at the time, he could have done something different. Now, along with his other historical gaffes (not sure what that word means) I'm not so sure. My guess is he has no idea when Jackson lived. By the way, if Jackson, is a role model for you, I'm worried. He was an activist president, but he was mean spirited, opinionated, not well educated, and shot from the hip a lot. I get the attraction, but its not good. He probably doesn't even know he is on the $20 bill. But that is probably because Donald doesn't carry around anything small than hundreds.
2. Not an exact quote, but the president recently said, "Lincoln was the first Republican president. I'm not sure everyone knows that. We should educate them on that." Donald, everyone knows that. Absolutely everyone. There is plenty I don't know, but I do know a lot of presidential trivia. But this is not really trivia. Lincoln was the first republican president, Washington was the first president, Grant is buried in Grant's tomb - all basic stuff.
There are tons of books on how to be a great leader. I never read those. Mr. Trump doesn't need to either. What he could do is read some presidential biographies. Seriously, I think that would really help him in a lot of ways.
