I got sidetracked. I was in the 200 seating. The 100's are near the court and the 300's are in the rafters. Typically, I would be in the rafters. For some reason, I usually am in the second to the last row. I got good seats this time. They were at the end, but that's fine. You get to yell at the players shooting free throws. I don't do that, but I was close enough if I wanted to. Only those in the endzone 100's get those inflatable clappers, so I was out of luck there, but I was close enough to seem them being
passed out. For some reason, that was fun for me.
Portland had a so-so lead most of the game. Went stone cold in the fourth quarter. It was tied with two minutes to go. Then Portland just went crazy and scored like 10 points in the last two minutes and won. Fun game.
The highlight. I never buy stuff at the game because it is all over priced. But I like to look. They had jerseys. They cost $110. That is actually what they usually cost in stores, too. But Adidas merchandise was half off for that day only. (I don't know why). Plus, they took and extra $10 off that. (Again, I don't know why.) But how can I pass that up. I got my hero's jersey - Terry Porter. He is now coach of the University of Portland.Maybe I'll go to Univ of Portland games next year wearing my jersey. Probably not though. I heard someone say once that some people can get away with that and look cool. He said, "If I do it, it would look like I'm part of the Make a Wish program and its my special day". I'm afraid that's the look I would have. But, I love my jersey, nonetheless.
