Basketball Recap

March Madness is over. I had three teams going in - Oregon, Kentucky, and Gonzaga. So it ends up with congratulations to North Carolina. Not only in winning the national championship, but for also beating each of my teams and crushing my own personal hopes and dreams. I should say congratulations to the joint efforts of North Carolina and the referees for each of those games.

Gonzaga lost in the last few seconds, Oregon in the last second, and Kentucky in the last three-tenths of a second. My teams weren't just in the field of 64, they were in the Elite 8. Actually, if Kentucky had won, I would have ended up with a winner. It would have been Oregon vs. Kentucky and the winner of that would have played Gonzaga. Again, thank you North Carolina.

Every college in America, except one, is a little disappointed in the result. Teams either didn't make the tournament, or even if they did, they had a one in sixty-four chance of winning. Those are not good odds for hapiness.

Basketball is almost over. March Sadness is done, but I still have my Trailblazers. They currently have a half game lead for the final playoff spot. Their season is about over. They will either:

  1. Miss the playoffs. OR,
  2. Make the playoffs, have to play the number one seed, Golden State, and be quickly eliminated.
At least it will be over quickly.
