Final Super Bowl Prediction

Its the day before the Super Bowl. My prediction is as follows: New England 38, Atlanta, 31.

I feel pretty confident in this. I played the two teams on my Wii and that is how it turned out. I let the system play so it wouldn't be biased by my own personal skills for whatever team I controlled. I think the bettors have New England being 3 point favorites, so my prediction is relatively close to that.

Its a Wii, so not exactly the real thing. Also I was playing with a Madden 2009 version, but I still stand behind this. Brady was QB and some guy named Chris Redman was Atlanta's quarterback. Atlanta made it a great game in spite of the fact they were 4 and 12 that year and New England was undefeated.

It was a low scoring first half - 10 to 0 for New England at halftime. Then things got rolling. There was one touchdown in the first half and eight in the second half. With a minute to go, Atlanta drives down to tie the score at 31. Then Wes Welker runs the kickoff back 98 yards for the winning score. Heartbreak!

I'm not sure who the MVP should have been. Redman was 17 for 25 with two touchdowns and 287 yards. Brady was 16 for 19 - great even for video game standards. He also threw for a touchdown. I probably have to give it to Welker who ran two kickoffs for touchdowns.

There you have it. No need to watch the game tomorrow. In fact, get some money down on my prediction and you can make a bundle. It's a lock.
