Ringo in Reno

I don't believe I've written anything about Ringo since I saw him. Five hours away and $53 ticket. How could I pass that up? I could not.

It was Ringo and his All-Starr Band. "Starr", get it? Of course you do. They probably weren't stars you would know by name or even to recognize if you saw them on the street, but you would probably know their songs. They were people that sang with Santana, Toto, and another band whose name I can't think of. Todd Rundgren was also there. I saw him already when I went to the David Letterman show. He is not the greatest singer, but he was fun. They did Evil Woman, Oye Como Va (not sure how to spell that), Kyrie (not sure on that one either), Africa, etc. There was also a song that was like "lift these broken wings and help me fly away..." I bet you know that one, too. But that song sucks, so I didn't care for that.

Ringo spent a lot of the concert just playing drums for the other guys, but when he did sing that was super cool. Sometimes he would sing from the drums and sometimes he would come out front. He looks great. Skinnier than I remember and he was jumping around and stuff, so he must be in pretty good shape. He did Photograph, Yellow Submarine, A Little Help From My Friends, etc. Here is a picture of him. Its the same picture on my "Peace, Love, and Ringo" shirt I bought. I usually don't by shirts at concerts. In fact Elton, Paul, and Ringo are the only times I've bought a concert shirt. Despite costing $30 for a shirt that has such thin fabric you can almost see through it - still worth it.

Peace, Love, and Ringo!
