I've just about seen every singer I would care to see. I try to see people if they are within a four or five hour drive. I probably see a couple concerts a year. Last week I drove to see a concert of Olivia Newton Hyphen John and Frankie Vallie. It was a twofer. It was outside at a casino. I don't really have any skill sets that fits with anything that goes on at a casino, but they do host good concerts sometimes.
Olivia was great. She older now, I suppose, but still looks great - as adorable as ever. She seems like she's doing well. She was running around, doing jumping jacks, and all kinds of stuff during "Physical". Settle down Olivia. There were a couple of her hits that she didn't do, but she did pretty much every hit of hers I could think of. She did songs from Grease. Judging from the crowd, everyone has seen that movie. She also did songs from Xanadu, which I think I'm pretty much the only one that has seen that one.
Frankie was a little before my time, but he was awesome. I wasn't sure I would like him as much, but he was great. He's not quite as spry as Olivia, but he sounds great. Incredibly great in fact. He still does that falsetto thing. I'm still puzzled how he chose to do that while singing "Talk like a man", but I guess it worked for him. If you want to see how amazing he still is, I found this on-line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej9KIGvHKc4 of a concert of his from a couple months ago. He's kind of amazing. I maybe liked him more than Olivia.I wouldn't normally see concerts this often, but I found an upcoming Ringo concert four hours away for $50. I can't pass that up. That will give me two out of four Beatles.
