Updates

I thought, a good day for updates of my life.

  1. My fantasy team. It's getting really tense. I had a big day yesterday. My guys hit three home runs and hit almost .400. Team Libby is now ahead in 7 out of 10 categories. One pitcher blew up a little, but my boy Verlander had a great game. I have razor thin leads in several of those categories, but two of the three I'm behind in are also razor thin. I just found out that one of my pitchers has a slight injury and they are going to rest him the next few days. So I dropped him and brought up a rookie, who happens to be pitching today. We'll see how that goes. Five days to go.
  2. San Francisco Run. I think I've mentioned this. I'm doing a 13.1 mile run in SF. It is now only four and a half weeks away. I've run 11 miles, so that is probably enough to feel like I can at least finish. We'll see. I'm mostly going for the scenery anyway.
  3. Concerts. I saw Pablo Cruise last week. They are fine, but probably a 3 out of 10. They had like four hits and that is stretching the word "hits" just a bit. In the past year I think I've seen them and two others. Surprisingly Diana Ross came to Southern Oregon this summer. She's still really good and sounds just the same. Probably a 9 out of 10. I saw Bonnie Raitt and she was good. Probably halfway between Pablo and Diana, so we'll give her a 6 out of 10.
I pretty much never binge watch stuff, but I bought the series of the Partridge Family. That was a fun little show. I'm not watching it 100%. I just have it on while I'm working on stuff. That Keith Partridge was really dreamy. It's a fun show. I was thinking there really aren't any shows that were like that one. But I realized at the same time there was The Monkees. Pretty much the same. There are a lot of dual things like that. Ants and a Bug's Life came out the same year. There were two Steve Prefontaine movies the same year. If you're going to copy someone, at least have a little gap between the copies. OK?
