Teams I care about are falling away. Yale is gone. I knew that was going to happen soon, so no big deal. Kentucky is gone. That was rough. Luckily, I didn't see any of the game. It does make it hurt not quite so bad. Gonzaga is still in. They will be gone in a game or two, but they have already overachieved. So, good job Bulldogs.
Oregon is still in. If it goes anything like football, we get to the championship game and then lose. But maybe. Maybe. I am not getting my hopes up. Oregon got to the Elite 8 a few years ago. If we could at least do that, that would be good enough for me.
Some I know have made predictions by mascot strength. Oregon vs Duke is going to be Ducks vs Blue Devils. I don't think we stand much of a chance. If we can win that game, we either play Aggies or Sooners. I'm not exactly sure how you would characterize their strengths. At least we would stand a better chance that against the magical arts of the Blue Devils.
The Duck is scrappy. I found a game that I was at where he beat up the Houston Cougar mascot. It happened right in front of us. I thought it was pre-planned and all in fun, but he did get suspended for a couple games so maybe not.
