Super Bowl, Peyton, and Cam

Just to wrap up the season, here are some observations about this year's Super Bowl.

• First of all, check out this picture. This is Super Bowl I. Looks like plenty of good seats available. It seems to have grown in its popularity.
• Remember my prediction of Broncos 20, Panthers 13. I look like a genius now. I'll admit I got a little lucky on it, but a win is a win. Most people didn't give Denver a chance. I don't have a good track record on Super Bowl predictions, but maybe I've turned things around.
• Does Peyton not have enough money? He hadn't even gotten off the field and was shilling for Budweiser, Papa John's, and Disneyland. Maybe I can float you some money if you're hurting, Peyton.
• A lot of people called it a badly played game, but I don't think so. The defenses were good. That is what made the offenses struggle. I'm OK with that.
• They didn't go with a Roman numeral just for this year. Did they think Super BowlL would look like a typo? I don't know.
• The day after the game, a commentator said that for all the Cam haters, this was like Christmas. Oh, yeah. Let's open some presents.
• He is so overrated. He had the 8th leading quarterback rating this season. His passing percentage was about 27th. He's not that great a passer. Yes, with his running, he's formidable, but everyone made him out to be by far the best, and I don't think he was.
• At the end, he still had an outside chance of winning, but his body language showed he had given up. He was whining about calls. The last few plays he looked like he was just going through the motions.
• Fumbled and didn't fall on the ball. The next day he said he didn't because he thought he might get injured. If you don't give yourself up in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl, you never will. I would think his teammates aren't impressed.
• The press conference. I get that you were unhappy that you lost, but more so than Wilson last year when he threw a last second interception? There have been 49 other times quarterbacks have lost Super Bowls. They all seemed to manage to show class in defeat.
