and so on. It gets typed up and all voters get a copy on November first. Then we vote on the next Tuesday. It would be a lot better than how we do it now. To get on the list you have to be at least at 1% in the polls. No commercials. You just give your answers to those questions, so there isn't any negative campaigning. That wouldn't be so good for my candidate who in the latest poll was sitting at 0.4%. Seriously. But, I still would go for my system.
And people wouldn't have to give money to political campaigns anymore. For people that do that kind of thing, anyway. I've never given money to any politician. If I did, the amount I would give would probably not buy me a lot of influence anyway. Its not like I'd be buying an ambassadorship. Although, it might be fun to be an ambassador. Maybe to someplace like Australia where I wouldn't have to learn another language. Blimey, that would be hard
Also, there would be no useless campaigning. "Vote for Smith" on a political button or sign is kind of pointless. Anyone that would be influenced by that probably shouldn't be voting.
Here is another thing I don't like. Notice how so many times they get asked something and they start with "Listen..." or "Look...". They do that a lot. What is the deal with that? Is that supposed to be macho political talk? If I start my sentence with "Look" or "Listen", I'm a real leader and clearly deserve your vote. That could make for a fun game. Watch a debate and every time a candidate starts a sentence with one of those words, they get a point. Or if a Republican debate, every time they say "Reagan", they also get a point.
