Playoff Predictions

The second round of the playoffs are coming up in a few hours and all America is waiting to hear my predictions, so I better get them out. By the way, I was four for four last week, so I'm pretty much an expert. It did take a couple miracles for that to happen, but that's OK.

By the way, for months now, I kept a Sports Illustrated that had their season's predictions. The Super Bowl winner - The Baltimore Ravens. People only bring up past predictions when they've been correct, so I doubt if we hear to much from SI on this. Rarely has a prediction been so wrong. They didn't just miss the playoffs, they missed it by a mile. I don't think they even let them on TV this year.

Also, kind of a big deal - I will be using bullets for the first time on my blog. Anyway, here we go.
  • Kansas City and New England - I'm going Kansas City. They're the feel good team of the year. They started off losing a bunch of games and now have a long winning streak. Also maybe it's KC's year. They Royals won the World Series. Also, I'm not over Deflategate. I think the football gods are going to hand a beat down to New England as their just reward for that.
  • Green Bay and Arizona - I'm going Green Bay even though the smart money would say Arizona. I like Aaron Rodgers' commercials, cheese hats are adorable, and Green Bay deserves all the love they can get for having to live in Wisconsin. Generally true, but especially in the Winter. Meanwhile Arizona players don't even get commercials, have no fun hats, and work on their sun tans year-round.
  • Seattle and Carolina - Seattle. This is the only game I really care about. I've been a Seattle supporter through thick and thin. This is in contrast to all the fans that have jumped onto the bandwagon during these recent thick times. Also I hate Carolina. I saw their coach once. He was sitting on the bench when I was at a Charlotte Hornets game. He does seem like a nice guy. My biggest thrill was coming into the game and finding out it was free Charlotte Hornet Hat Day. Whoopee! Also, seeing their owner Michael Jordan sitting at courtside. (In my defense, it did look like him. Thank goodness there are digital cameras now where I could easily delete the 20 pictures I took of bogus Michael.) I really only dislike Carolina because of their QB who does a little pompous dance or pose every time he scores. I hate that. And he's overrated. He was rated like the 8th best passer and everyone is saying he is the MVP. Wrong.
  • Denver and Pittsburgh - This is kind of a lame game, literally. Both of their star quarterbacks have injury problems. So the offenses may not be that good, but they say Denver has the best defense, so I'm going with Denver.
There you have it. After this weekend I still be at worst four out of eight. Not too bad.
