Predictions

I feel in the mood to make some predictions.

Predictions don't always work out. Sports Illustrated picked the Ravens to win the Super Bowl this year. They needed a come from behind victory in overtime Thursday to keep from going 0-4. So, I can do as well as that.

First baseball. I'm mostly rooting for the Cubs. They haven't won in like a hundred years (sounds like an exaggeration, but its true), so I'm pulling for them. Plus, I own a Cubs hat. They'll play a single game playoff on Wednesday. They have a really good pitcher, so I'm picking them to win. After that I think they play St. Louis, the best team in baseball, and Chicago will have used their best pitcher. So they'll lose to St. Louis and the streak continues. It will be St. Louis and Toronto in the World Series with Toronto winning. Seems unfair that a Canadian team would win, but they probably feel the same when a USA team wins hockey.

Presidential Race - A month ago I would have said Bush vs. Clinton, a rematch of 1992. Trump would run as an independent and split the Republican vote, with Clinton getting elected. Since then Trump said he wouldn't run as an independent, Bush as been sinking, and Clinton has folded like Superman on laundry day. Now I don't know what to think. I'm going to go with Rubio vs. Clinton with Rubio winning. I'm rolling the dice on this, but that will look all the more impressive if it happens.

Speaking of that, I took a poll to see who I matched up with. I got Rick Santorum. His popularity in the polls I see is currently at 1.13%. It also showed where I land on the political spectrum. I came out just a skosh (is that really a word?) to the right of center. That is kind of what I thought I am, so that give the Santorum thing more credibility I guess. So I am a Santorumiac. I assume that what those that rabidly support him (there currently aren't any) are called.

Super Bowl - I'm going with Green Bay vs. New England, with Green Bay winning.

College football - I don't care. I predict it won't be Oregon, though. I see all the "fans" jumping off the Oregon bandwagon. I'll stay true, but its going to be a sub-par year.
