Overrated Presidents

I was in the Ronald Reagan Museum a few days ago. I was in LA a week or so ago. By the way, when people say LA are referring to Los Angeles. Until I was about 20 years old I thought people who said "LA" were referring to Louisiana. Seriously. Why do people say the Louisiana traffic is so bad? Why is there so much crime in Louisiana? It all makes sense to me now.

I had been at the Reagan Museum once before, but Ronnie wasn't there then, if you know what I mean. I've now seen all the Presidents graves but ten of them. I'm on a quest.

It was a little different this time. Besides Ronnie being there, they have a giant addition that contains the plane used as Air Force One. They said the current Air Force One is three times as big. I find that hard to believe because this one seems enormous. They allowed pictures throughout the museum except the interior of Air Force One. I'm not sure what the deal is with that. Near the front of the plane they had the "communications center" of the plane. It had a fax machine. No pictures because they don't want that kind of technology getting in the hands of the Russians? I don't get it.

Ronald Reagan was a great guy, but in my mind, a little overrated. He seemed really friendly, had a great sense of humor, and was a great communicator, but so is Jay Leno. Let's go through my votes for (in no particular order) most overrated Presidents of all-time:

Ronald Reagan - He gets credit for ending Communism, but I don't know why. Virtually everyone from Truman on share some of the credit for keeping the heat on and causing the USSR to eventually implode. The economy got better when he was President, but the economy seems to do what it feels like regardless who is President. Every one but him seemed to know his Star Wars plan wasn't going to work.

John Kennedy - He did a nice job during the Cuba Missile Crisis, but it wouldn't have been necessary if he didn't previously back an invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs. He was a good looking guy, but mostly used that fact to attract other women.

Thomas Jefferson - Mister "All men are created equal" owned a couple hundred slaves. Secondly, he gets way too much credit for the Louisiana Purchase. Napoleon was looking to sell it, anyway. Its like me bragging for talking Wal-Mart into selling me something.

Andrew Jackson - He did do a lot of stuff, but most of it was bad. Breaking treaties and stealing land from Native Americans. Being a hothead and killing people in duels. He owned a couple hundred slaves.
