Anyway, I'm pulling for the Cubs. If the season ended today they would be in the playoffs. I was so glad when they Red Sox won the World Series a few years ago, so they could stop whining about how long it had been since they won a World Series. "Oh woe is us, we're jinxed." No you suck, and its your own fault you kept losing. Anyway no more whining from them. Its been longer now for the Cubs, but they don't seem to do the incessant whining that the Red Sox fans did. The typical Cubs fan just supports the team and hope they can win one during their lifetime. That is unlikely, but it could happen. And maybe this is the year. The last I saw, the Cubs were a couple games up on the next highest team, the Giants, who I hate anyway. I hate them for the living in denial they did and still do regarding Barry Bonds. Plus their team colors - Orange and Black. Not attractive. Those are the same colors as where I went to high school. Ugly then, ugly now. They're fine if you're playing on Halloween, but otherwise they just aren't appropriate.
So still plenty of time for the Cubs to be eliminated, but if this was a typical year, they would have been mathematically eliminated by early May, so things are looking up. Even if they make the playoffs, they'll only have a one out of eight chance, but with the purchase of the hat today, maybe that's all they need to put them over the top.
P.S. - And what an adorable logo.
