Paul got some kind of flu and was in the hospital, causing him to postpone his Louisville concert to a time I wouldn't be here. In the words of Charlie Brown, "Aaaaarrrrggghhhh!" He was also going to be in Pittsburgh, which isn't far from Ohio. I've hardly been in Ohio at all and I was planning on going there after the Louisville concert anyway. They have a bunch of presidential homes and graves there - part of my continuing I See Dead People Tour.
Contacting Ticketmaster twice by phone was fruitless. I sent them an e-mail which they did not find time to answer within two days. I had problems with seeing Charlotte play basketball by going through someone other than Ticketmaster. It worked out, but was a bit of a hassle. So I thought it was safer to go through them. But, Stub Hub had a bunch of tickets that was in my price range for a Pittsburgh concert. All Ticketmaster had was floor seats for a billion dollars. I tried to order at the Stub Hub website several times, but it wouldn't take my credit card and finally said I had to call them because they were deactivating my account. Aaaarrrggghhh! I called them and they guy was very polite, but said the credit card didn't match with what the bank said. Called the bank and got that worked out. Then tried to log in, but my account was still deactivated. Called Stub Hub and was able to order them this time over the phone. I think I have them. I won't feel really confident until I'm in my seat and I actually see Paul. Anyway - Good grief. That was a lot of work. There were snags, but Stub Hub was great. Ticketmaster - less than great.
Midway through, I thought about giving up. Maybe I'll try to see Ringo instead. That would have been cool, but not quite the same thing. I figure this is about my last chance to see Sir Paul. He's well on the backside of his "When I'm 64" song, so if I don't see him now, I may not get the chance again.
Aside from my very first Elton concert, this would be my biggest concert ever. It was going to be less than two weeks until Paul. It's about 3 weeks to go now. The countdown has begun.
