March Gladness

The NCAA Tournament is down to 32 teams and my two, Oregon and Kentucky, are still in it. I don't think either one has what it takes to win the whole thing, but at least we got in and did something positive. Next game for Kentucky is against an undefeated team, so it'll be tough. Sometimes it's easier to play when you're the underdog. So let's got Wildcats.

I was also rooting for Eastern Kentucky. They had a good team and almost upset Kansas, but it just wasn't to be. I drove right by its campus four days ago in Richmond, Kentucky. Its a nice school and a nice town. I stopped in front of the courthouse there, which during the Civil War was an army hospital. Also interesting is that Michelle Obama was the speaker at its graduation ceremony last year.

I was actually in Richmond, though, because there was an Elton John movie there. At select cities they're showing a film of his Million Dollar Piano Show from Las Vegas. Technically it is 1.4 million dollars, but I guess they rounded off.  Richmond was the closest place that had a show. It's about an hour and a half from my place. I got my ticket early so I would be sure to have a seat. It turns out that wasn't really necessary, but the seven of us saw a great show. I guess it could have been hosted in one of our living rooms, but the big screen made it really cool. I chose my seat from the middle right down in front. Its the kind of seat I'm not willing to pay for at a concert, but at the theater they're all the same price. Bam.
