So Long, St. Louis

My last day in St. Louis was eventful. I started off the day with one of my cemetery searches. Yes, that's a little creepy and morbid, but its like a scavenger hunt, so fun. This was in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis. I had to do some research the night before to figure out where to go. If you don't have a map or some clues to go off of, it is just too hard to find what you're looking for in big cemeteries. Anyway, this cemetery had three good ones in it – Gen. William T. Sherman, Dred Scott, and Tennessee Williams. I found them all fairly easily.

After that, we went to Grant's Farm. Ulysses S. Grant owned that property for quite a few years, then others bought it, then a lot of it was made into an animal thing. You take a tram ride through it first where they have buffaloes, oxen, and other things that might hurt you real bad. Then you get out and go walk around a mixture of zoo and farm animals. You could buy bottles of milk and feed baby goats. I was a little trooper, but it really isn't my kind of thing. Right across the street they have Grant's home, which is now run by the National Parks service. Now we're talking. That was fun and interesting.

I had been to St. Louis before and thought I had seen pretty much everything there is to see. I was wrong. I saw a lot of cool things this trip. Although, now I think I've reached the end where I've seen all the sights that I would care to take in here. So long, St. Louis. I've enjoyed my stay.
