West Coast

I'm on the West Coast now. We just got in on Amtrak. Man are my arms tired. One thing that is clear from the trip is that we have plenty of trees. Oregon has got billions. So back off environmentalists. In fact maybe we've got too many. Let's clear-cut a bunch and put up some parking lots. You can't have too much parking.

If anything I might be more cut off from society than I was in Kentuck. We're only here for about a month and a half, so it doesn't make sense to get cable or internet. I'm typing this in McDonald's because they have internet access. Luckily I pretty much live at McDonald's, so that should work out OK. Speaking of McDonalds, here are some thoughts. They should have only men clean the men's restrooms and women clean the women's restrooms. I can't believe they think the way they do it know is a good idea. Here is another thing. When they build them, sometimes they put the men's door on the right and the women's on the left. Sometimes they reverse it. As I have found out once or twice that is a potentially very embarrassing situation. Why don't we standardize that? That would be very helpful.

I don't remember what Brent Scowcroft did in politics, but he was a big shot a couple of administrations ago. Anyway, I had a weird dream. Brent Scowcroft was giving a guided tour I was a part of. It was going fine, but then he turned into a black Labrador dog and then ran away, leaving us all wondering what to do. End of dream. Still working on the interpretation for that. We had black labs while I grew up. Maybe that has some tie-in.
