I didn't think this is possible, but I now am at an all-time low in terms of technology use. I'm only in town for a month and a half, so no point in hooking up cable or getting the internet. Both of which require an additional hook up fee, even though I believe that just means someone has to flip a switch somewhere.
For the internet, I go to the library and use one of their computers. You can basically rent it for an hour at a time. For TV, I have dvds and going to a pizza place to see the NBA finals. This requires eating very slowly so as to fit eating a pizza into a 2.5 hour block of time while I watch the game on their TV. I am a sponge on society. I have become the kind of person I formally looked down on. No, I'm not proud of that, but it is pretty much true. I'm currently using a computer to do my blog, surrounded by teenagers using computers for I'm not sure what, but it doesn't look at all school related.
Speaking of the NBA finals, last night I didn't need the whole 2.5 hours as the Heat had a 25 point lead with 5 minutes to go. Thinking it was in the bag, I left. Of course without the internet, TV, or friends I can't be completely sure how it turned out.
