I Can't Get No Satisfaction

My boy, John Tesh, said that CD's were going away. Turns out he is right. I went to a store tonight and it had about a quarter of the CD's they used to have. It hit me hard when records started going away. I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with this. I believe mp3's are replacing them, although I'm not sure what one even is. Going through the CD's tonight I saw very little that interested me. I saw a lot of names I didn't recognize and what I assumed was rap music. Most fit both categories. I ended up buy Norah Jones, who I really like, but seems just a little too depressed most the time. And I bought Jason Mraz. He seems pretty happy and upbeat. I don't like the fact that I have no idea how to pronounce his name. Maybe its a typo that no one caught. I liked his album cover so I listened to him on the store headphones, trying to concentrate on the music and not on how many people of questionable hygiene had used those headphones. Anyway, seems like my kind of guy.

Speaking of music, I remember a show where they counted down what their experts decided where the best rock and roll songs of all time. I only remember #1. It was The Rolling Stones' song - I Can't Get No Satisfaction. Wrong. Maybe they got confused a related category - worst songs of all time. Let's check out some lyrics from the song.

I can't get no satisfaction
I can't get no satisfaction
'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try
I can't get no, I can't get no I can't get no, a no no no Hey hey hey, that's what I say
I can't get no, I can't get no
I can't get no satisfaction
No satisfaction, no satisfaction, no satisfaction

The rest of the song has a bit better lyrics, but worse musically. They fall in love with one or two notes and just stick with those for a long, long time.

Hey, let's close wih a John Tesh fun fact - He wrote the NBA theme you hear during the playoffs and the theme to Entertainment Tonight. Either one destroys I Can't Get No Satisfaction.
